A lot of people get into affiliate marketing or Internet marketing in order to start making money and have more time for their family and friends. The problem is most of these people end up doing affiliate marketing all wrong and wind up spending more time sitting at their computers than they did at their nine to five job.

The first thing you need to do is to make sure you have your own search engine optimized website. By offering your affiliates a 50/50 split they will be more enthusiastic about promoting your products or services. One thing you should not do is raise the price of your product in order to cover the costs of paying your affiliates. By keeping the price where it is and by recruiting affiliates you’ll make more money in the long run with quantity.

There are many different options for running an affiliate program. You can host the software on your web server and run if from there, or you can pay a monthly fee for someone else to host it for you. You could also join a program such as Clickbank that handle everything for you, and all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the profits.

Of these two options clickbank is the most popular choice for all Internet marketers. One of the main reasons clickbank is so popular is due to the fact that other than the product you’re selling they take care of everything, from collecting payments for your products, To paying you and your affiliates for all sales that are generated and they automatically keep a very small fee for each transaction.

So when ordered to automate your affiliate marketing you either need to have a search engine optimized website to to promote affiliate products, or you need to start up your own affiliate program and have your affiliates to the advertising for you.
