If you are amongst the many people who have taken a challenging class like anatomy or chemistry, you know how hard it is to study correctly. I took these classes as a sophomore in college. Back then it was hard to balance friends, school, and sports all together. It was easy for me to study for every other class except for anatomy. Luckily for me, my other roommates were in the class as well, and all studied a lot. One day we all thought it would be best to put all of your studying habits together to make this class way easier, and here is what we did.
One:
Working in groups Is key. Me and my roommates study together, and this is the best thing. If you have someone to verbally study with and bounce ideas off of then you will learn way faster. Also, if there is a study guide if you spread out the work amongst more people then you will be able to start the studying process much faster than having to fill out the study guide alone. The faster you know what is on the test, the faster you will be able to start studying.
Second:
Be organized. This is the most important part when trying to study for a test, especially if its classes such as anatomy or chemistry. Once you have finished the study guide and know what is on the test, organize your notes into chapter by chapter order. Separately take down and re-write the important notes. If you keep writing down the notes over and over again it will help you apply what you have learned by doing something other than looking at the paper for hours.
Three:
Know the pictures and diagrams. If you are in a class teaching you about cells of the human body it is so important to know where the function is going on. The best advice I can give you is to learn the pictures and diagrams, so then when you read through your notes you will know where everything is taking place.
