Rush Poker is the new method of playing Poker. Earlier players played against the same set of people at a table, until the tables were balanced or until the last player was left at a table. However in the new way of playing, the players keep on rotating randomly from one table to the other. It does not matter whether one is playing Omaha Hi/Lo, Texas Hold ‘Em or Stud, the latest way of playing Poker fully alters the manner in which you play Poker.
Unless you are in a deep stack or short stack tournament, you can start the tournament with 1500 chips and depending upon your game have normal choices like Bet, Check, Fold, and Raise. That hand will continue until the end if you check, bet, raise or fold. The main difference between the Rush Poker and normal game is that once you fold you have instantly changed to different table randomly chosen with new faces.
There are two Rush Poker tournaments, which are Full Tilt Free roll tournaments, however most other required an entry fee.
You can play Rush Poker outside of the tournament area at some of Full Tilt’s Ring Games. The blinds vary with the amount you wish to play. The main difference between the Ring Game and Tournament versions is that you can leave a ring game at any time, as opposed to a tournament where you may not.
Rush Poker is better suited to more action-minded players who like to be able to move on quickly to the next hand after folding. There is no rush to play less than par hands, and you are able to quickly see more hands. However, there are some considerations to keep in mind about Rush Poker.
First of all, when you fold a hand, you can not go back and look at your hand history to see what you would have gotten in the hand. Second, until you get farther into the tournaments, you are playing against fresh faces in every single hand. You won’t be able to determine the fish from the Pro’s, mainly. Third, since most of the people will not see you for more then a hand, they can not make reads on you and be able to tell what kind of hand you have based on your betting. It is best to play very tightly since you can see more hands, and build up your chip stack early on good chances.
